The aim of this piece is to create a drawing/painting of a withered flower using only chinese ink. Chinese ink is used in this case as it is one the few medium that can organically create tension and contrast. 

Thus the medium is used and dripped down to create the piece below. The extensions that are the leaves and parts of the petals are created using the extreme thin tip of a chinese hair brush.

Plants that are withered have a very distinct form. These forms are very interesting when it comes to the shapes and the tension.

The form closely resembles some of the chinese painting that have paint dripping down the page of canvas, creating an uneven line, sometimes wavy sometimes crooked.
